Who we are, how our tools are built, and why everything is free.
ToolAspect is an independent publisher of free online calculators, converters, and document tools, run by a small team of engineers and researchers. The site launched with a handful of developer utilities and has grown into a library of more than 600 tools covering finance, health, pets, weddings, construction, legal costs, and everyday file tasks.
We are not a lender, insurer, medical provider, or lead-generation front. We don't sell your data and we don't collect it in the first place: every calculator runs entirely in your browser, and there is no backend that could store what you type.
Every tool starts with the question people actually type, not with a template. Before a calculator ships we: (1) implement the real formula behind the answer, from amortization math to the Mifflin-St Jeor equation; (2) verify it against two worked examples computed by hand; (3) add reference data tables — rates, thresholds, state-by-state rows — sourced from primary references such as IRS publications, CMS data, and peer-reviewed meta-analyses; and (4) publish a plain-English explanation of the formula and its limits alongside the tool.

The marginal cost of a static page on a CDN is close to zero, so we don't need to charge you. The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising; that's the entire business model. No accounts, no premium tier, no "free trial" that asks for a card, and no watermarks on your output.
We also publish embeddable versions of many calculators so other sites can offer them free — attribution links in the embeds are how word spreads, not how we monetize you.
Our calculators produce estimates, not professional advice. A mortgage calculator cannot know your lender's overlays; a benefits calculator cannot know your case file. Where a decision has real money or health attached, we say so on the page and point you to the authoritative source.
