Focus deeply, rest intentionally
Developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s, the Pomodoro Technique breaks work into focused intervals (traditionally 25 minutes) separated by short breaks. The method is named after a tomato-shaped kitchen timer ("pomodoro" is Italian for tomato).
The technique leverates timeboxing — a fixed deadline creates urgency. Short breaks prevent mental fatigue and maintain sustained concentration throughout the day. It also makes large, intimidating tasks feel manageable by breaking them into bite-sized sessions.
